About the room

I’m looking for a single girl to take a room downstairs. It’s a small double room, there’s a bathroom downstairs which will be for the lodger’s private use.

Myself and my 11 year old daughter will be in Turin from the end of August 2026 till June 2027, we’ll be back in Kilkenny for the summer and then possibly back to Turin in September 2027 again.

We’ll be home for Halloween, Christmas, Easter etc and will be staying in our bedrooms upstairs and using our own bathroom upstairs. So essentially the lodger will have the whole downstairs of the house to themselves most of the time.

There is a slightly unusual part of the arrangement though. I haven’t been able to find an apartment that I can bring our two cats to so I’m looking for a cat-lover who would be happy to share the house with them and fill up their automatic feeder once a week, give them fresh water etc. Anything medical would be looked after by my friend around the corner. My friend would also be available to look after them if the lodger was away on holidays etc.

They’re both very friendly and clean and they have a cat-flap so they pretty much come and go as they please. This arrangement might suit someone who loves cats but obviously wouldn’t suit someone who doesn’t like cats!

The rent, including bills (gas, electricity, bins & wifi) is €800 and I’m offering a €100 reduction per month in exchange for keeping an eye on the cats. So that would bring the rent to €700 per month, including bills.
